Il est vrai que c'est pendant la période du Saint Empire Romain Germanique que l'Alsace a eu un rayonnement culturel éminent. Au XVème siècle, la Renaissance rhénane en Alsace fit que cette région rayonnait dans toute l'Europe grâce à ses imprimeurs, ses orateurs, ses érudits.L'histoire enseignée en France se garde bien de le dire.
